Morten F. Mortensen

Morten F. Mortensen is a Danish environmental archaeologist and researcher at the National Museum in Copenhagen. He works at the intersection of archaeology and natural science with a particular focus on shedding light on the natural environments in which humans have lived throughout history. His research areas are vegetation history, climate change and environmental history, food and food products in prehistory, ice age reindeer hunters – the first humans in Denmark, pollen analysis and landscape reconstruction. Mortensen will contribute to the festival seminar “In Conversation with Landscapes and Plants”
